Test Operator The position of Test Operator provides product performance testing support through direct administrative, analytic, and physical interaction with consumer products. This interaction involves but is not limited to reading and understanding instructions/job sheets/protocols/industry standards/etc., use of lab equipment (scales, variac, power analyzers, etc.) standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, holding, and lifting for various periods of time (the timing for each activity depends on the testing done and can range from 18 times per day up to 60 times per day), data entry using spread sheet program, and verbal/written communication with direct manager/supervisor/ technician. Responsibilities: Read and utilize internal and third-party test standards to set up and complete product testing Report and analyze test data generated Prepare samples for internal testing Troubleshoot product samples when proper function and/or data results are irregular or fail to meet established KPI's. Perform other duties from time to time that include but are not limited to warehouse/work station/facility/common area maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep. Education & Experience (Required) High School Diploma Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective use of Microsoft Office products with a minimum of intermediate experience using Microsoft Excel. Ability to work autonomously or as a team in an environment with constantly changing priorities. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail. Strong organizational skills. Ability to perform analysis to determine root cause of issues and offer creative solutions. Ability to use general purpose tools for repair, maintenance, or new construction. Education & Experience (Preferred) Associates Degree in a Technical Area or Vocational/Trade school certificate. Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, digital scales, pressure gauges, etc. General background in principles of Electrical and Mechanical function and application. Physical Ability (Required) Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, squat, twist, push, pull, reach, and lift for varied amounts of time and multiple times per work day/week (the timing for each activity depends on the testing done and can range from 18 times per day up to 60 times per day) . Engage in push/pull activities requiring up to 35+ pounds of force repetitively over the course of an 8hour work day. Ability to lift/hold up to 25+ pounds in various body positions including lower (squatting or kneeling), middle (standing or walking) and higher (overhead) for varied periods of time (the timing for each activity depends on the testing done and can range from 18 times per day up to 60 times per day) . Ability to perform team lifts for heavier, larger, or awkward objects. ADDITIONAL: We are a dynamic organization in a rapidly changing industry.
